Roxie is fed with the liquified milkshake consistency and
thus, she receives her fluid intake in her food. She will walk by the bowl of
water if she is hydrated enough. However, after she runs agility or if it's a
very hot/humid day, I make sure she is offered water or her new
favorite....puppysicles made from low sodium chicken or beef broth.

Unless you know that your dog has some functionality in their esophagus, I
wouldn't suggest they drink from a normal bowl. Water can cause aspiration
pneumonia just as food can.

If your ME furbaby is getting enough water through her food she should
actually walk right past any free water, have you tried her with the water
accessable? Corkie only takes a few laps IF it is extremely hot or she has been
playing hard, then I just hold her up for a few minutes to allow the water to go
down.

and she called me PHAT,liquid diet, prilosec otc once a day)

It would depend on how tall your dogs are. My mega-e dog, Bella, is a lab and
the normal drinker is a Bishon. I put Bella's water bowl on the seat of a chair,
and the chair is pushed into a corner. This makes it exactly head height for
her. The little one's water goes on a tray under the chair, well pushed back so
Bella can't get it (or, at least when her water bowl is full, she doesn't try),
and the my Bishon, Joe, can walk right under the chair and drink any time.
